There are 3 options for SR609C Series of Solar Water heaters. The difference in usually due to the heater element they can support and the level of level of intelligence.

1. SR609C 3 Kw Pressurized Solar Water Heater Controller. This is the controller on sale here. The controller can support heater elements rated up to 3Kw. Unlike (2) below, it do not have internet connectivity. The physical dimensions of the controller are as; 205mm×150mm×50mm
2. SR609C -WiFi 3 Kw Pressurized Solar Water Heater Controller. Like (1) above, the heater supports heater elements of up to 3Kw. It also have WiFi connectivity for remote monitoring. The controller is only available for sale on SolarShop Africa.  The physical dimensions of the controller are as; 205mm×150mm×50mm
3. SR609C 1.5 Kw Pressurized Solar Water Heater Controller.  The controller can support heater elements rated up to 1.5 Kw. Unlike (2) below, it do not have internet connectivity. The physical dimensions of the controller are as; 187mm×128mm×46mm

SR609C 3Kw Solar Water Heater Controller Basic Settings Explanation.

Upon installation of your SR609C 3Kw Solar Water Heater Controller, you need to set Time and Timed heating intervals.

To set the Time, Press the Clock button and follow the settings like the old CASIO clocks.

To set timed heating intervals, press SET button. Below are conditions to set paraments.

TH10 First heating ON conditions
TH1F First heating OFF Conditions

TH30 Third heating ON conditions
TH3F Third heating OFF Conditions

The Second (Mid-Day) Heating parameters are;
TH20 Second heating ON conditions
TH2F Second heating OFF Conditions

In most cases, you don’t need to boost at Mid day so the settings are skipped.
